sorry G&T - I was torn....

AgentProvocateur · 06/10/2010 21:19

I'm here! Missed the very start - how old is the original guildhall?

MmeLindt · 06/10/2010 21:20

Oooh, just noticed this is on.

orienteerer · 06/10/2010 21:20

I was torn, normally I'm an avid fan but tonight I keep flipping over to The Apprentice.

Floopy21 · 07/10/2010 21:08

Does anyone know exactly where? The high st. early on is annoying me with it's familiarity!

sethstarkaddersmum · 07/10/2010 21:10

saw this, Kevin was revoltingly snooty about the couple, I thought.

Floopy21 · 07/10/2010 21:32

Guildhall was 1500's with later additions they stripped out.

I wasn't keen on the strange linking bit, far too clunky IMO.

Snorbs · 07/10/2010 23:14

Kevin was a bit snooty but, to be honest, I largely agree with his reasons. There were so many original features of those buildings that could, and arguably should, have been preserved. But they weren't.

From the outside, at least, the guildhall lost nearly all its character and the big barn ended up looking like an anonymous small office unit.

It didn't help that the bloke was an annoying pillock. I couldn't believe the way he just ignored everyone else's opinions, even even those of his wife.

Pah. Not one of my favourite episodes.

AgentProvocateur · 08/10/2010 11:46

Thanks, Floopy. Wasn't impressed with this week's one either. I didn't like the linking building, or the overall finished project. Or the man.

Floopy21 · 08/10/2010 11:51

Same here Agent. Think Kevin felt the same too!
