I barely watch tv. Honestly, almost never. I go out of my way to watch The Apprentice, Mock The Week (is that still on?) and I might watch a bit of news or The Wright Stuff during the day.

I reckon I watch 5 hours or less tv during a week. I like to think I am far too cerebral and prefer to read the papers or books.

But ...

Total Wipeout is ... just ... really hilarious Grin.

Please check it out.

(P.S. you won't like it if you hate Richard Hammond)

Big fans of TW in this house. V. funny indeed.

nobodysfool · 03/10/2010 20:45

Its on CITV in the mornings as well...the whole family me, DH, DS1-5 years and DS2-20 months all sit there laughing our socks off.Brilliant!!!!

It takes me back to Its A Knockout (some of you may be too young to remember that) days. Just wish Stuart Hall could do some of the voice over commentaries - he would prob die laughing (being 80, and all Wink).

Love all the funny music and the Carry On Film sound effects. Dh who works in telly says its beautifully cut.

Me and DSS often sit on the settee sniggering at this programme. Love it.

Denny185 · 03/10/2010 21:04

The American version is better IMO

CJCregg · 03/10/2010 21:05

I love it too. Watched the celeb get across the big red balls last night, our entire household cheered!

choufleur · 03/10/2010 21:07

DS(4) loves it. and I love watching it with him.

Butkin · 03/10/2010 21:13

We love it but the fact they need two (not very funny) presenters on the American version spoils that one for us.

We agree that it has good production values and excellent editing.

YANBU, it's hilarious. But I always feel slightly grubby and mean for laughing at what is essentially people humiliating themselves in public (but it doesn't stop me).

One 5 year old I know can never remember the name of the show and calls it "Boys and girls falling over" Grin

DinahRod · 03/10/2010 22:32

Required viewing.

Dcs and I snuggle up for TW and Merlin.

nameymcnamechange · 03/10/2010 22:59

Nah, don't feel guilty. The contestants are COMPLETELY up for it. And they get a £10,000 prize - not to be sniffed at.

I am trying v hard to persuade my fittest/sportiest marathon-running friend to enter - he has dc of 10 and 8. They would absolutely love it.

DD (2) calls it "people falling in water" - she loves it and loves trying to re-enact it in our living room

Hulababy · 04/10/2010 21:12

DD loves TW. DH would like a go round the course, but not on TV.
