Andy from CBeebies

I can't quite believe I'm about to post this...
Am I the only one that is developing a crush on Andy from CBeebies? He is looking quite buff these days.

And yes before you ask, I am heavily pregnant at home waiting for the arrival of my second son, and way too much time on my hands etc etc so obviously can blame the hormones. I am discussing it with The Husband, who concurs that Andy has indeed been "working out".

The BBC should probably not make my infatuations worse by employing nice homely looking boys like the one who hangs out with Kerry on bedtime hour, what's his name? Unlikely to develop unwholesome thoughts about him.

Think you can safely blame the hormones!

mumbybumby · 27/09/2010 12:32

Isn't Andy the tall, gangly uncoordinated one?! Definitely the hormones! :)

bamboostalks · 27/09/2010 12:35

I quite fancy Andy and Sid but am also 11 days overdue and going slightly mad.

PosieParker · 27/09/2010 12:37

Andy is like a poor man's version of my ds's tennis coach!!

Londonista · 27/09/2010 12:37

I am blaming the hormones for a lot at the moment.
eats another spoonful of nutella directly from the jar...

Londonista · 27/09/2010 12:40

PosieParker wish you hadn't told me that. I am still mobile enough to comfortably consider stalking. At least for a few weeks more.

PosieParker · 27/09/2010 13:04

I had the filthiest dreams when pg....

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 27/09/2010 14:58

I do not have your pregnant excuse and I have a big girly crush on Andy!

DastardlyandSmugly · 27/09/2010 15:04

I love Andy - have loved him since his first day. I saw him in Waterloo once and had to stop myself rushing up to him.

Londonista · 27/09/2010 15:22

I'm so relieved to hear from someone who is in sane mind and likes Andy too. This poor foetus is getting the blame for way too many things.

Just been discussing my need to chat about such things on Mumsnet with The Husband. He thinks I am clearly in need of some 'matrimonial attention' which he said he'd be happy to sort out for me. Who said romance is dead?

domeafavour · 27/09/2010 21:50

He's lovely. I think he would be great fun!

lolbaby · 27/09/2010 21:56

Please! Sid, Justin, now Andy!
I'm sure i read a comment on people having a crush on Andy a while ago and keep thinking of someone who said he has a face like a horses f*nny... and i'm sorry, everytime i look at him that comment smacks me round the face and i find myself LOL!
BUT, each to there own i guess Smile
Btw, when i was pregnant i found myself having the hots big time for that chef, whats his name, Marco pierre white?
Repulses me now, so it it defo the hormones!

Goobee · 28/09/2010 00:05

Dear Londonista,
this is such a strange coincidence, I can't believe you posted this today - as a bunch of my Facebook friends (all Mummies) have, over the last week or so, been discussing our crush on Cbeebies Andy!!! Plus, there have been confessions of lust for several others male presenters, but as far as I know, none of us are currently preggers! I just typed in Cbeebies Andy on google, and before finding your post, and have spent a good hour, LOL over this posting - Check out www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/lifestyle-8/join-club-95/41379-dodgy-crush-cbeebies-actor-club.html
We Mummies obviously don't get to see enough eye-candy in the outside world! I think Andy is gorgeous in a very geeky non-conventional way! I am especially fond of his and Sid's 'Number dancing'! You've gotta love a guy whose not ashamed to embarrass himself on the dance floor, all to make the kids laugh!
So I don't think it's your hormones at all, anyway, the main thing is, that whatever the reason for your crush - you are not alone!!! Good luck with bubba number 2,by the way. I have two boys (M = 2 yrs 4mths, and Z = 9 mths) it was bloody hard work for the first 6 mths or so, and I would not want to do that bit again, BUT it is paying off now, the boys really dig each other, and the youngest thinks his BB is the funniest thing on the planet! There is nothing better than the two of them romping on the bed together in fits of giggles - here's to happy times, and school girl crushes!

Goobee · 28/09/2010 00:10

P.S - sooo with you on the wholesome Alex thing - he's like Andy and Sid's uncool little brother, constantly trying to be as cool, but just tripping over his shoe laces and wiping his snotty nose on his sleeve all the time! No un-pure thoughts there!

Goobee · 28/09/2010 22:54

Am wondering if you are having bubba number two right now?!! If so, hope it all goes swimmingly!!!

MonarchoftheGarioch · 28/09/2010 23:05

I have seen Andy several times in real life . He is very, very, very tall. And looks less geeky in the flesh Smile. Sid is also very tall.

Saw Chris in my local M&S (he has also been working out, no?) - was wearing matching turquoise Converse and polo shirt, which I felt strangely envious of.

It must be weird being incredibly famous but only to pre-schoolers and their mums.

NoseyNooNoo · 28/09/2010 23:30

I saw Andy in the flesh on Sunday. He's about 6'4", quite a nice body but his face looked a little too 'lived in'. Big ears too.

OhLuckyYou · 29/09/2010 10:26

I used to have a crush on Sportacus ... thankfully the DCs have grown out of Lazy Town now so I have come to my senses

GothAnneGeddes · 29/09/2010 23:19

Not pregnant. Also fond of Andy.

Posie - I also had wonderful dreams when I was pregnant.

Londonista · 30/09/2010 10:52

Sportacus - hilarious. Thankfully my wicked thoughts not ventured there yet.
Goobee - thanks for that. Not quite having the baby just yet.... I daresay recovering from an episiotomy sitting on an ice pack will dampen my lust.

SaintIncognita · 30/09/2010 11:06

I quite like Mr Maker when he's not being Mr Maker - he's quite endearing on Jollywobbles. Andy definitely has charm.

Alex is just too try hard, although he did make me laugh at his reaction when Cerrie started mooing the other week, and he said 'Do you need to have a lie down?'

ByWhoseStandards · 01/10/2010 19:28

I don't know about fancying them exactly, but I do have a secret fantasy about going out for a drink with Sid and Andy. I imagine that Andy would get very drunk and indiscreet and Sid would be all teetotal and "my body is a temple" and goad Andy on to make a complete fool of himself (or would it be the other way around? as you can see I've given quite a lot of thought to the matter)

It's not surprising we all develop weird crushes. I mean, my dh works long hours and the only men I ever see are CBeebies presenters and occasional glimpses of other people's husbands...Hmm

mizu · 01/10/2010 20:22

Andy is cute, the horse's fanny thing is ruining it a bit for me though.

lolbaby · 01/10/2010 21:15

LOL @ mizu Grin
He's not cute, none of them are!!
At a push, Sid is probably the one.
The only one that hasn't got a voice that would make you want to kick them out of bed!
Andy looks clueless, least said about Alex, the better really, still looks like a little boy with his freckles and that.
And Justin, well, oh god, i don't even know where to start. I reckon he's too nice to think of in that way....
COLD SHOWER FOR YOU ALL!!!!!
Confused

pluperfect · 02/10/2010 16:59

"the only men I ever see are CBeebies presenters and occasional glimpses of other people's husbands..."

Too bloody true!

But I do like Alex. He really is appealing, and he has a ring to prove someone else thinks so, too!
