Can't see any threads about this. Was on last night. What did we think? I wasn't terribly impressed. I thought Karl Pilkington's ignorance was not very funny, and actually quite offensive and rude.

And I like offensive and rude!

I liked it, made me laugh a few times

Karl Pilkington is on a whole different planet.
I do find him hilarious- what makes me laugh the most are watching Merchant and Gervais encouraging him in his random musings.

anon - totally agree, the 'preview' show was far funnier than the actual thing!

It made me laugh a lot.

I bloody love Karl even though he's now playing the character of Karl Pilkington rather than it all being genuine iyswim.

that's good to know bunny!

Dh and I nearly wet ourselves at the whole thing.

It was sooooo funny!

TechLovingDad · 02/10/2010 11:19

I've seen the ads and can't work out if it's going to be offensive or him being genuinely bemused.

So haven't watched it yet. Grin

I really like it. Karl comes out with things that people would actually think but normally too polite to say. He does not appear to be offensive for the sake of it. Still cringing at the walking stick in the private parts.

TechLovingDad · 02/10/2010 15:28

You mean he's offensive? Grin

PictureThis · 02/10/2010 18:44

I loved it. While I agree that Karl is playing a role, it made me laugh....a lot.

collision · 02/10/2010 19:18

We were not sure of how much a role he was playing tbh.

He genuinely looked bemused by everything but we decided that even if he was acting it was still hilarious!

The bit about elephants for transport being like 4x4's in London was brilliant! as was the 'not sure why they would need an ipod here, I must be in the wrong place' - brilliant!

Did anyone else watch it?
