...that it is such a hit?

DH has liked it for a while, I got into it too a while ago, now all the DC are totally mad for it!

DD can even sing the theme tune "math science history, unravlling the mystery" which is hilarious.

Anyone else totally gone on Sheldon, Wolowitz and co?

So, do all yr DC watch it too?

Cause I was unsure at first (there are a few sex refs, but then my DC are old enough for me not to mind if they ask!) but really it is as big a hit than The Simpsons.

Bigger, probably.

Endless debates over which of them we like the best (Leonard, really. I do love Sheldon tho.)

I love the one with the time machine where they all run about really fast when Leonard first has a go in it Grin

Sorry. "as big a hit as The Simpsons" was what I meant...

We love it in our house. DH and I like nothing more than to sit down and watch several episodes of BBT with a takeaway. DS1 is 4.5 and is a mini-Sheldon.

OuchPassVodka · 11/09/2010 23:26

It is well liked here.

Frizbe · 11/09/2010 23:28

Grin love it!

Alwaysworthchecking · 11/09/2010 23:29

Hooray - a BBT thread! I love it, but dh and I were starting to worry that we were the only ones watching. I just love Sheldon - he reminds me of several people of my acquaintance and is affectionately portrayed.

Clary · 12/09/2010 00:56

It's educational too - we were talking (as you do!) about did the world start in the year 0 because that was 2010 years ago (this is DS2) - no, I said, that's just when Jesus was born, that's when we count from, but of course the world started long before that.

Yes DD pipes up, "more than 14 billion years ago...." Grin

My Mum and Dad recently started watching this and their first words when me and Dh walked through the door the next day were

'Ohmygodwe'vefoundyouontv!!!!'

Very fast and very excitedly.

Admittedly we are a right pair of geeks but I couldn't help but wonder who is Leonard and who is Sheldon in our own household....

NickOfTime · 12/09/2010 02:41
Grin we love it here too. the most recent episode was when sheldon had to receive his award and give a speech. i literally cried with laughter. (dh is of course an engineer, but i don't think that's essential to appreciate it...)
kickassangel · 12/09/2010 03:52

dh & i are watching it. i'm convinced that i'm penny to his sheldon.

when they had the one with sheldon getting an old zx computer & revering it i nearly cried laughing - dh often expresses the wish to have a mini museum of all the different computers he's ever owned!

ClimberChick · 12/09/2010 04:43

I'm a physicist and kinda embarrassed to admit how spot on they are at times. It was actually my DH who got us into it.

BraveGirl · 12/09/2010 05:22

I've been converted too! Although it is on past my bedtime!
New series of inbetweeners starts on Monday which will help pass the time until new big bang arrives!

HRHCavey · 12/09/2010 09:19

The 1st season re-runs mean I've been able to watch episodes I missed first time round. I cried with laughter at the Christmas episode where Penny gave Sheldon a napkin autographed by Leonard Nimoy!

I can't post a link to YouTube as I'm on my iPhone, but if you type "Big Bang Theory Sheldon hugs Penny" into the search the clip will come up.

DilysPrice · 12/09/2010 11:43

The Leonard Nimoy napkin finale is my personal favourite too.

LifeOfKate · 12/09/2010 21:10

Sacharissa cheers for my first mn snog, I feel I've arrived Blush :o

I love Sheldon's character, but I have to admit to having a bit of a crush on Leonard Blush

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2010 21:29

Love it here too.

DS cries if anyone else yells the "bang" though, so DD1 is now jealous and it leads to punch ups.

Clary · 12/09/2010 23:12

Ah yes the Leonard Nimoy napkin.

The first time we saw it DH said "oh he will have Spock's DNA now" which is of course just what Sheldon then says.

Geek? noooooooo Grin

squashimodo · 13/09/2010 01:22

Oh my God, I love TBBT. But sadly am alone in my house. Makes it more special though.....Grin

MrsThisIsTheCadillacOfNailguns · 13/09/2010 21:32

I'm not remotely sciencey, but we love it too.

mogandme · 07/07/2012 19:12

Watched the one with the secret earlier and it had me in fits!

DillyTante · 07/07/2012 19:26

Love it! Watched it so much when DD2 was tiny that everytime the theme tune came on she would stop whatever it was she was doing (usually feeding!)

Mrsjay · 08/07/2012 01:12
