What does anyone think of the new series? I think Amanda Burton is great, but the overall staff numbers seem to have been pretty depleted.

Judging by the fact that the hall was half empty for assembly, they don't seem to have many pupils either - less than there were at my comprehensive, and we only had 600 pupils!

And what happened to the previous head? Have I forgotten what was explained at the end of the last series? And wasn't the deputy head chappie with Angela Griffin's character? Have I really forgotten so much, or is it going to be explained later on?

I love Waterloo Road, so corny and ridiculous and predictable but a real guilty pleasure!

I don't really like the new head. I didn't realise Rachel was actually leaving, just thought she was off on her honeymoon. Also noticed that Sharky was still there and not in America, and him and Amy have gone from being suicidally inseperable to barely noticing each other. Maybe I missed something or maybe this is supposed to be a few terms later?

Waterloo road always leaves unexplained gaps between series. It's annoying. I think Angela Griffin's character is supposed to be on maternity leave. I do remember the previous head agreed with her new husband to travel with him and forget about the school. No explanation about what they were going to live on, of course!!

I thought last nights episode was ok.

Bizzare plots, as ever, but it keeps us entertained.

Does it drive real teachers up the wall?

swanandduck · 03/09/2010 14:07

I thought it went a bit over the top. I would prefer to see Amanda Burton's character with a few less problems of her own and just developing the role of school principal. I mean, in one day she has to explain herself to the entire staff room after her spiteful daughter lands her in it and then has to sobbingly ask the Spanish teacher to drive her to her husband's mistress's house. Great first impression!

I love this programme Grin

Think Rachel went on a yr long honeymoon IIRC.

Nothing has been mentioned of Steph and the other teachers...

Also what about pupils like Danielle etc?? I thought they had another yr in the 6th form, but maybe I'm wrong Blush

I really enjoy Waterloo Road and never miss an episode.
But, I really do not like how the Spanish Teacher Cesca is haveing a fling with Jonah. I think the storyline is a bit weird and that the teacher has always been to nieve.
Does anyone have any opinions on this.

silkenladder · 24/02/2011 21:43

It makes me scream at the telly. There's no way someone so stupid would qualify as a teacher.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 24/02/2011 22:41

I forsee lots more angst with Cesca.
