Thomas the flaming tank engine

Is it just me that gets irritated with the newer versions of Thomas - every episode has the same plot. Engine is told to do something, doesn't do it, everything goes wrong, engine fixes the problem, everyone is happy. Drives my nuts, it's so one dimensional.

Drives ME nuts, I don't actually have any nuts.

Kids really like repetition though. We had all the videos for the old version. I think I can still recite them.

No I love Thomas. I don't like the newest one with the animated faces and the engines actually speaking but I love the rest and so do the dcs. It is true that the properly old ones with the lovely Ringo are the best.

But even the old ones were dull as shite. The only advantage they had was that Ringo's soporific tones would lull you to sleep.
