Am i the only person who cries buckets at this?? I've been watching it every night this week, and have cried at every one!!!

Why, and how does it do this to me??

Gotta go now, it's on in a minute!

i lvoe it, tho its overly cheesey. the best one they did was for the autisic bling lad. wow!! that was amazing.

popmum · 25/08/2005 21:02

brilliant! love it - am loving presenter, can't quite remember his name.....!

misdee · 25/08/2005 21:03

Ty

Tortington · 25/08/2005 21:12

i always cry - undortunatley its on a channel we have to pay for now but when i get to see it i always cry ....some of those stories are truly only in america

popmum · 25/08/2005 21:14

how could i forget?!

expatinscotland · 25/08/2005 21:14

I got tired of it after a while. It's on Freeview and they run a marathon of it and it's like, 'Man, can we watch something else?' I'm happy for the people and all, but yeah, it'd only happen in America and all those people own their own homes - that'll never happen for us barring a lotto win.

i cry too. and the most with the one where the kids had lost their parents and they got the new house and the mortgage paid off.

misdee · 25/08/2005 21:15

i dont think he is. tho i jhave a soft spot for Ed, the london guy.

BethAndHerBrood · 25/08/2005 21:17

I think he's okay, but prefer my men a bit more rugged - quite like the older guy with the glasses, but i wouldn't kick Preston out of bed for farting!!

(not you expat of course, you've caught the british bug )

expatinscotland · 25/08/2005 21:56

No sense of humour, anyone who drinks is an alcoholic, shame-based society, police state, blond is the best way to be, materialistic, live to work, 'my Jeep is bigger than yours' . . . boak.

I never fit in, needless to say.

SueW · 25/08/2005 22:15

I've been addicted to Extrme Makeover Home ed'n too. I read in the paper yesterday that the Leomiti-Higgins family (five children taken in by another family after their parents died last year and who had a nine bed house built) are no longer. The five children are now suing the people whose house they moved into and ABC (who make it) becuase they were 'used'.

I love this programme and I too think Ed is gorgeous but if Ty shouted at me with that bl**dy megaphone all of the time I would have to shove it where the sun don't shine

TwoIfBySea · 25/08/2005 23:03

My dst love watching this with their toy builders hats on and plastic hammers in hand, they also love shouting "lets go build a house!" at any given opportunity.

There have been a few that made me teary-eyed, the woman who had lost her dh and ds1 in a car accident and the man with 3 ds whose wife died. But it was more to do with their loss than what happened on the show.

sparklymieow · 25/08/2005 23:12

I love this programme too. I love Ed, he is gorgeous!!!

expatinscotland · 25/08/2005 23:13

Ty irritates me to no end. That whole 'rah! rah!' cheerleader mentality sort of grates on my nerves.
