Is it just me or does anyone else think that Steve McFadden plays being drunk better than any other actor on TV He is so believable!!

I think it's the bloodshot, unfocused eyes as well - don't know how he does it!!

I agree he plays drunk well, but my God that character has stepped in to characature. He is a violent, drunken arsehole, who is apparently about to start using crack What's the betting that at some point he still gets his kids back?

You are right - I think it could be time for old Phil to take a break fromt he show. How many more times can he fall off the wagon and how much lower can he sink!

He is fab as a drunk. So different to his usual character.

Doesnt he get into drugs quite heavily now, will be interesting to see him playing that.

He's a great actor, so no he shouldn't take a break.

I can almost smell the whisky on his breath.

I don't think Peggy's reaction to his drinking is realistic, though.
