Inspector Banks on TV

Does anyone know when the Inspector Banks series starts? - I saw Peter Robinson talking about it on Breakfast show, but didn't catch the date.

I've read a lot of the Inspector Banks books, and Stephen Tompkinson is about as far from my image of him as you could get,so I'm a bit but will probably give it a go.

No! Not Stephen Tompkinson! Banks is stocky and dark and has crinkly hair and is not very attractive, everyone knows that.

Yes Bella - Banks is definitely not Stephen T. (can't really get past ST being in that Big Game animal thingy)

Also Banks is not northern is he?

Oh well - I am probably a grumpy old fart, set in my ways etc.etc.
