Anyone know when Strictly is back??

There was a chill in the air a bit this morning and my mind couldn't help turning to my Saturday night TV schedule for the four months in the lead up to Xmas. Shouldn't Strictly be starting soon? Anyone know when so I can ring the date in my calendar...?

I'm hoping it's soon. Saturday night TV is dreadful at the moment. it might be a bit later this year as they are cutting a couple of couples IYSWIM.

I don't want to watch it now Brian has left...

Are Ola and James in it this year?

DS2 (6) has a massive crush on Ola.

I suspect that they got rid of so many of the dancers because the 'celebrities' had gone a bit D-list and there was a very real danger this year of the dancers being more famous and interesting than the celebs. Last season there were a quite a few celebs that I had never heard of, more so than any of the seasons before.

good point bran. Apparently Matthew is going to be taking part in the next dancing on ice as a celebrity!

yes, it is too much to hope. IIRC Lilia is gone, Darren is taking part as a guest dance type thing. Matthew, Brian and Ian are all gone too. I am hoping that red headed eastern european one isn't coming back (alia? something like that?) as she was sullen!

My mum will be disappointed, Lilia was her favourite.

I was going to boycott this year because of Ian and Matthew but funny enough 6yd DD asked this morning when it is coming back and I can't let her down,can I? Great news about DOI but I too am surprised the miserable redhead is back I thought they would get rid for sure.
Now I've decided to watch it I'm looking forward to seeing Ann Widdecombe give Craig a mouthful :)

what are the odds that Anton gets the Widdecombe? that's got to be worth the licence fee alone...
