I've just watched this. What a beautiful girl. I'd be so proud if she were mine.

Remotew · 03/08/2010 22:02

I watched it. I really hope she sticks to her last thoughts and lets Georgia just be herself and finish her education and it wasn't just for the documentary, she should be proud of her.

Alicia seems to be the type that will sell her soul to the papers for money. How else can she afford all the travel, holidays, private education. I've never heard of her before.

megcleary · 03/08/2010 22:03

She is a lovely little lady bless her

Remotew · 03/08/2010 22:03

Meant travel and plastic surgery.

megcleary · 03/08/2010 22:04

daughter, daughter i mean

menaceandmayhem · 03/08/2010 22:04

I didn't even know she had a daughter until I saw it advertised.

Remotew · 03/08/2010 22:07

I remember them being in the papers because her daughter had requested a boob job. Guess that's how she makes her money selling stories. Really hope she leaves her daughter out of her stories in future.

serajen · 04/08/2010 13:23

poor daughter, so supressed, obviously the caretaker emotionally and can't talk honestly in case upsets her egotistical mum, very very sad

candyfluff · 04/08/2010 20:50

i watched this back on iplayer today - georgia is a lovely girl and i hope she goes on with her plans for the future- was annoyed with alicia telling her will want a boob job when she is older - thenkgod her daughter has so much sense to realise its not your boob size that makes you who you are.
was also angry at alicia for making georgia a part of her surgeries ,no teenage girl should have to see that.
anyone else think the guy who was a family friend might well of been her dad??

Remotew · 04/08/2010 22:45

Hmm not sure, he seemed to have a vested interest somewhere.

SixtyFootDoll · 04/08/2010 22:51

I just started a thread on this too, waht a lovley girl Georgia is.
I wasnt to bring her to my house and give her a normal childhood - she deserves it, inssstead of having to look after her mother and her 'tits'.

angel1976 · 04/08/2010 23:00

But at least she can see first-hand the misery being obsessed with looks has caused...

MsFaithless · 04/08/2010 23:00

Watching this now and cannot for the life of me understand why she wants her daughter to be the 'next Britney Spears' and lamenting the fact that she prefers to study and and has to be dragged to photoshoots.

It seems like Alicia has a few ishoos and I can sympathise with that but I hope she stands by her final comments about Georgia that she's fine as she is and needs to chase the career she wants.

sleepingsowell · 04/08/2010 23:32

I thought this was awful to watch. The poor kid is so clearly being inappropriately drawn into her mother's life - the scenes where she was nursing her mother and tipping the blood from her latest surgery down the sink were just heartbreaking - but made me angry at the same time. Georgia was kept of school for that. Selfish, deeply silly woman.
And I'm afraid I don't swallow this big change in her view by the end of the documentary. Just don't think she could go from saying to her fourteen year old "why not take your top off, it's the easy way to get famous"....to "you should go to uni and be a serious actress".....hmm.

grapeandlemon · 05/08/2010 13:39

There was a story a few years ago when Georgia was 11 that she wanted implants and to be just like her Mum when she grew up.

Now it is the studious daughter with the kerrrazy Mum story. AD is a fame junkie who has roped in her daughter to every story that will sell. I found it all pathetic quite frankly.

notsleepingthrough · 05/08/2010 13:46

Have just watched it. The daughter is being so emotionally abused - it is very sad.

guybrushthreepwood · 05/08/2010 14:22

watching it now. Poor kid- the mum clearly has a screw loose somewhere whilst Georgia clearly has her head screwed on.

I keep thinking, were I in the position of Alicia- living in central London with enough money to fritter away on eyebrow tattooing, multiple boob jobs etcetera- I would be taking my daughter to the theatre every weekend (and she keeps saying she wants to be an actress?? does she, in fact, mean glorified model?), museums, exhibitions, NYT- there's so many opportunities in London and Alicia's not taking Georgia up on any of them. Stupid woman.

Hopefully Georgia gets some good support at boarding school. Think that was quite a good decision all round.

EvaLongoria · 05/08/2010 15:28

Anyone see them on This Morning www.itv.com/lifestyle/thismorning/showbiz/glamourmodelsmumandme/
after watching this it looks like she definitely changed her name and on her own website this is on the latest news section. Alicia's daughter Destiny has just been given her own TV show shot in the USA which will be aired on the BBC in spring 2010. More info on the way

lilyliz · 09/08/2010 17:18

really thought Georgia was going to do her own thing and get her education but seems mum has won.The change of name and the American dream say it all, maybe the documentary was a load of flannel just to get us all talking about them.Missed a trick there Alicia,Georgia might have become a doctor and could have been your personal plastic surgeon.

ariadne1 · 15/06/2012 18:08

I suspect a lot of skewed editing went into making that programme.
I am just amazed that someone so ugly can be a glamour model.
