Did anyone watch this last night? the Scottish lass was so brave, really felt for her. The one from Portsmouth needs a good slap round the face!!

I watched some of it, and I agree totally!

Scottish girl was so brave, and grown up about it all. It's such a shame that the baby's father died in such tragic circumstances.

Girl from Portsmouth was a complete brat!! Can't believe how she spoke to her mother when she was saying that they would have no money and would have to get clothes from bootfair!! She has no idea how much a baby costs! Maybe she should have thought of that before she got herself pregnant!

HappyAsASandboy · 21/07/2010 13:18

I watched this, but missed the beginning. What happened to the scottish girl's boyfriend?

I also laughed at the portsmouth girl's reaction to second hand - I'm in my 30's and have had a good job/saved for the last 10 years and I'm going second hand where I can. How does she imagine she can have new stuff when she's too young even to claim benefits?!? I sound flippant - actually I am dismayed at her predicament. Feel so sorry for her and what is to come (that she can't even comprehend), yet am also angry that there is another generation for me to raise on benefits.

thegoodishlife · 21/07/2010 15:16

Happy - he died in a car accident it was really sad.

I laughed at her too - her and her "boyfriend" made me despair for the "youth" of today

Julezboo · 27/07/2010 20:23

Is anyone watching it now?

lucjam · 27/07/2010 20:40

I just watched tonights (saw last week too), why do they finish the programme without showing what happens to one of the girls? Last week we didn't find out what happened to the brat girl so I assumed she decided she didn't want to carry on with filming, but they have done it again this week, we didn't find out what happened to the midwifes daughter. So blardy fustrating.

FessaEst · 27/07/2010 21:17

lucjam I was just going to post the same thing, each week it feels a bit unfinished. I am sure in the last series they updated you on both. It's kind of like it gets to 30 mins and they stop - aaarrrgh!

JaneS · 28/07/2010 00:54

The Scottish lass was amazing, she'll go far. But the other lass - though she was a total brat - I felt a bit sad for her. It seemed as if she thought it was terribly terribly mature to run her boyfriend down all the time. I couldn't help suspecting all the princess-y behaviour was just a front because actually she was a in it deep and knew it.

I wondered why they didn't show what happened at the end with her too? Perhaps it was too private for the family?

The older sister came across as the most immature and unpleasant character in it!

Kaloki · 01/08/2010 22:52

Really littlereddragon? She seems, to me, like the most sensible one. Her sister comes across as a spoilt brat who enjoys being the centre of attention and not having to take any responsibility.

The other girl seems pretty sensible, but she's going to struggle to get any space from her mum, who seems a little controlling.

The girl whose partner died in the first episode seemed so much older than her age, I have a lot of respect for her!

The bratty one was awful! Poor mum having to deal with such a selfish girl. Bet she ends up looking after the baby.

Squitten · 02/08/2010 18:14

The blonde girl was a nightmare! Her mother had all the character of a kipper though so I'm guessing she'll be left holding the baby when blondie realises it doesn't match her handbag... [hmmm]

The other one seemed ok. Very typical attitude of being able to do it all until the baby came and she realised it was hard! I think she'll be alright

JaneS · 02/08/2010 22:31

kaloki, I thought the older one was just bitching at her sister's expense. She sounded painfully naive and snobby, and had seemed to think acting 'posh' automatically connoted achievement - I would hate to have been her little sister.

I agree the mother was pretty controlling. The girl whose partner died was wonderful. I could easily see her as an MP or business owner in ten or twenty years - she really had the get-go and the maturity to make things happen.

prettyfly1 · 02/08/2010 22:51

Just watching this - how bloody depressing. The blonde lass is a nightmare with nothing about her and her sister is a spoilt little witch who should watch it back and feel incredibly embarrassed by herself. The other girl just made me feel so sad for her - so hopeless and unsure of herself.

LouLou78 · 10/08/2010 20:40

Anyone watch this weeks? Shock I could barely watch

While I might not agree with some of her parenting choices (pierced ears and rusks at 10 weeks) some of what she was doing was just shocking.

Horrible Sad

mumof2point5 · 11/08/2010 04:25

i'm watching on iplayer now - it really is sad

Hai1988 · 11/08/2010 11:19

watching now, this is terrible. leaving her to feed herself.

Couldnt evan cope with being left on her own with her DD for 15mins

chaya5738 · 12/08/2010 13:12

Glad you noticed the rusks at 10 weeks too - I was shocked! Why on earth would you be giving a baby that young solids and why did noone say anything. Depressed me so much

cowboylover · 12/08/2010 18:28

Oh god, I recorded it so going to watch it now x
