I've already posted this in chat but any telly watching people have any thoughts or is this normal viewing these days!!

I usually only watch a couple of programmes in the week because by the time I get home from work and sit down news is on or if I'm at home I have Radcliffe and Maconie on the radio.
Over the past week I've seen 3 programmes I woudln't normally watch.
What is going on? They were like parodies of reality type shows.

First up - Come Dine with me with Janice Dickinson. It was if a comedy show was doing a piss take of CDWM. She was licking her plate, feeling Callum Best up, swigging wine from the bottle and having tantrums. Very distubing

Next was on Monday I think about kids birthday parites. The amount of stupid money spent on a birthday pary for 14 kids was about £13000 or something stupid. And one poor kid had teh most unusal shaving of a head I've ever seen. Barking!!!

Last night we watched from Ladette to Lady.
The drama shots of the teachers being disgusted was hilarious. I kept thinking David Walliams was going to come down the stairs saying 'I'm a Laydee!'

Hi Upahill,

You seem to have quite a diverse taste in terms of what you like to watch on the box.

I'm a little like you, I work for Harvey's the furniture store during the day but by the time I get home from work, I only get to watch a few of my favourite shows before I head off to bed.

However; I've been a life long Coronation Street fan, so I dare not miss it during the week. The storylines just keep getting better and better. Are you a Corrie fan?

Sounds like a typical week's viewing in my house.

Hi Liz,

I usually get home from work about 9 or 10 so flop down on settee watch news and anything else that comes on for a hour or so before bed so that's how I ended up watching Lady and that birthday programme. I don't usualy want anything to challenging before I go to bed.
Often I'm at home during the day but it never occurs to me to put the TV on. Don't know why.

I think thats why I'm out fo touch with the progammes I mentioned and was so surpised by them.

I've never seen Corrie ( well not since I was about 12 and I'm 45 now!) Nor have I seen Eastenders, Emmerdale etc.
I'm not against soaps it's just that I'm not usually in to watch them or can commit to following a story line.

We make a point of watching /recording csi and NCIS and watch it as a family. Me DH DS aged 13 and 10.
