Lazytown question

This is going to sound a bit odd but a friend of mine says that they think that Lazytown is anti-semetic becuase of the character Stingy.

I can't see it, am I being foolish to think the character is more upper class English than Jewish?

I hadn't thought of that, but i did think about how weird it was having a grown guy who lives by himself in the clouds and whose best friends seem to be children (who have no parents)

I wouldn't worry about it. It's such a pile of shite that any 'messages' are going to be lost.

WHAT? If anything Stingy is a rip-off of Lord Snooty (and other similar stereotypes). If your friend assumes that any stingy character must automatically be Jewish then I think I know where my anti-Semitism detector would be pointing (and it's not at Magnus Scheving...)
