Every single time a character announces they have to be somewhere important like a wedding/exam/court case etc you just know that they will be delayed at the last minute. It's usually some minor or self-inflicted injury as well and I'm thinking "oh fgs just send them in to find a nurse and get yourself in the taxi"!
