Coz i won't get to the flicks to see it, so why are blokes supposedly leaving the cinema in tears? What happens?

Well, my DH cried and cried and so did I. The movie has several themes which are quite emotional rather than just one plot point that makes you cry. On a superficial level Andy is now grown and off to college........for any parent quite an emotional moment. He is cleaning his room out and packing away his old childhood toys.
On a slightly deeper level the toys just want to be played with by Andy one more time. That is their reason for being and they solely exist to make children happy. As an audience we know that isn't going to happen because Andy is off to college but they have been there for Andy for his whole life and now have to give him up (could be an analogy to parenting?). The last fifteen minutes are very emotional. I will not tell you what happens but pack the tissues. It is a very enjoyable film.

Are you serious? I am going to cry? We are hoping to save this for christmas so we can watch it with my dsis's and my mum when we do our christmas get together but are we all going to weep? Oh god.

And laugh. You will giggle a fair bit but the theme is very much about being left behind I'm suffering from PMT so maybe thats why I got emotional. Hey I watched monsters Inc with my DD (2.10) the day after and cried at that too, she ended up hugging me and going "there there mummy. I'm here dont cry!" Oh the shame!
