My kids are determined to watch it because they think it is cool .

Are there any good programmes that might interest younger children?

How old are they?

Mine are 8 and 5 and watch Deadly 60 and Dennis the Menace.

BertieBotts · 10/07/2010 19:32

Arthur is quite sweet. Chucklebrothers - is that cbbc or cbeebies?

runnyhabbit · 10/07/2010 19:33

Ooglies is quite funny (my ds are 5yrs and 3yrs)

NomDePlume · 10/07/2010 19:33

Mine is 7 and loves deadly 60 and Horrible Histories.

NomDePlume · 10/07/2010 19:34

Oh yes, she loves Ooglies too.

BertieBotts · 10/07/2010 19:36

I love ooglies

zippy539 · 10/07/2010 19:36

Horrible Histories are FAB. I love them myself.

The only thing that does my head in on CBBC is Tracey Endless Beaker.

NomDePlume · 10/07/2010 19:38

They are brilliant zippy.

BertieBotts · 10/07/2010 19:39

The horrible history books were good and I think the programme is based on them so looking forward to that when DS is older Are they not a bit gory for little ones though?

NomDePlume · 10/07/2010 19:42

depends on your definition of little and the constitution of your 'littlie' I guess.

Wallace · 10/07/2010 19:52

My 3 year old ds loaded up the CBBC website (he was supposed to be going on Cbeebies but apparently that is for babies )and was glued to an episode of Deadly 60.

lummox · 10/07/2010 20:14

Ooh, thank you all for the suggestions. They are 3 and 5, sorry should have said.

OK, so, ooglies is going into the recording schedule. Denace the Menace would prob be popular too.

Deadly 60 sounds a bit, erm, scary for the little one - what is it?

And any more suggestions v welcome.

My 5 year old loves Raven and Deadly 60. Deadly 60 is fab - high octane wildife programme presented in a trading card format. Each creature scored on a range of dimensions, lots of exciting footage. Steve Backshall the presenter is very easy on the eye too ;-)

DD's are 2 and 4 and love ooglies, shaun the sheep and deadly 60 (which is world's most deadly animals, cool nature show) and zoo factor

lummox · 10/07/2010 20:39

fantastic. deadly 60 is going on as well.

we've already got loads of the Shaun the Sheep for me and dh!

I'm Sorry I've Got No Head makes my nearly 3yo DD really laugh but OOglies is her favourite from Ds's programmes I think

vmcd28 · 17/07/2010 14:34

Diddy Dick And Dom always gets a lot of laughter from my DS, age 5, and he loves Copycats, a kind of game show.

Quality · 17/07/2010 15:10

Ugh diddy dick and dom has mine in hysterics but it deeply disturbs me!

muggglewump · 17/07/2010 15:30

I hate Copycats, that damn tune they repeat a million times makes me want to rip my ears off.

I do like Shaun the Sheep, Deadly 60 and Blue Peter though.

vmcd28 · 17/07/2010 15:34

I didnt say I liked dick and dom and copycats!!! I hate them too, except - as I have mentioned in an earlier post - I really fancy Mark Rhodes....

muggglewump · 17/07/2010 15:42

Oh I do too, he's aged much better than Sam, but that tune. Arrrgh.

nannynick · 17/07/2010 15:52

Shaun the Sheep works on so many levels - 2yr old likes it, 5yr old loves it, 35 year old me likes it
