I bought DS one of those miniature laptops for his 16th birthday last year. He loves it.

dd1 got a video camera last year to take on a trip to Russia. She's 17 next month and has asked for the dreaded driving lessons. Am desperately trying to think of an alternative...

Tortington · 01/01/2009 21:47

ooh, erm...ooh... not a scooter thats for sure, not a belly button piercing, thats a shag bar innit

silver necklace not too special

tried desperately to be helpful.....

something cool like a flying lesson, drum lessons, electric guitar lessons?

idobelieveinsanta · 01/01/2009 21:48

She already has one, bought it when she started her GCSE's..and because there is also always a big que for the pc.....however she did just spill nail polish remover all over the laptop keyboard.......but don't want to get her another.

Jewelery? Something personal - birthstone? Or start a troll bead bracelet? IF she has already mentioned a necklace...

idobelieveinsanta · 01/01/2009 21:51

she did do violin for 3 years at primary..but gave up in year 6 because she didn't like the teacher......

....she has regretted it ever since....and did ask a couple of days before christmas for a violin.....but she wouldn't be able to teach herself would she??

Sorry for late entry - is it too late??
Book her in for treatment - manicure/pedicure/swish hairdressers.

DD wants a ticket to Reading or Download festival (also in place of yr 11 trip to Newquay) although Download is smack in the middle of their exams so possibly the Reading one. ALternatively last year she said she wanted a Tiffany necklace
