Just wanted to update you all on my daughter who was questioning being at UNI .
She was home at the weekend and we had a great chat . She is loving it and the work load has starting to increase.
she was a little worried(thought it a little funny, but glad i was concerned) that i'd taken her comment so seriously ,she said that when she made the comment she had been bored for a couple of days(bad weather , missing home ,missing boyfriend) that why she had said she wondered if she had done the right thing.
She is well settled and working well . Although she is now talking about tranferring . AAHH, KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now that sounds like a typical student to me!

My first lot of assignments are just due to be marked, so I have had several visits from the students who want to point out to me that my subject is actually, you know, very difficult (yes, dear, I have only been teaching it for 20 years so it's not as if I'd had time to notice). Once they've seen their marks it will die down again...until the next deadline.

ANOTHER UPDATE.
She recieved her marks today for her first assignments and they were very good and she is still partying hard.
Your right cory , she is fast turning into a typical student , she came home at the weekend and brought home loads of new student habits.. lol was good to see her though and nice to know she is ok .
