well I have to say that was VERY odd

there I was minding my own business. and ds's gf's mum rings. seems thy had spilt up. she then tells me all about it!(I so didn't want to be involved)
20 mins later they have made up.
I now have 2 more grey hairs.
but please tell me.....
if you had a 15 yr old dd would you ring up her bf's mum like that??
they hadn't had a massive row, he hadn't done anything wrong(that would anger a mum)
or is it odd?

I've got a friend like that. Not to do with bf's, but my dd is best friends with her dd and she gets involved in their silly arguments. I'm afraid I lost my temper with her the last time they had a row, because SHE phoned my dd for a word! She won't be getting involved again!

My ds1 and his gf have been together for 2 yrs in April just gone and DH and i have gotten friendly with her parents. BBQ's and the men golfing etc.

We made a deal early on to never get involved in the dc'd relationship which is hard sometimes tbh,but we don't ever speak about it. I think it's very odd that she phoned you up

Too involved in her dd's life i think. Poor girl How can it be too short notice???

the strange thing is that the mother and dd have a very strained relationship(there are other things going on involving ss) so I can't help feeling she is a bit of a contorl freak.
for instance ds will ask gf over on a saturday, mum will say no but sunday is ok.
this happens a lot. I get fed up as she seems to want to call the shots all the time.
life would be easier if ds could go there. but I have to say no because of the ex dp.

I was going to say, maybe she really likes your ds and was hoping they would get back together but think I agree with others, she sounds very much like a control freak. I would have to encourage ds to be wary.

My ds has been upset in the past over his gf,they have finished a cuple of times but i have never phoned her parents.

Why would i?? I have comforted my ds but at the end of the day it's his problem to sort out isn't it?

I was a bit mystified as he is 16 and it is his business. but got dragged into it. he didn't really want me to be involved as it was a weird story behind the break up.

sorry if it doesn't make much sense. but it is hard to post as I have to respect their privacy. and talking about a girls sexuality seems way weird

Some parents are more involved with their kids than others I am probably the type who would phone !

I have now met the mum and shock horror she is.......nice.
