My DH and two DD are at scout camp for a week. They are both neurodivergent in their own way. They wanted to go when we booked it as they enjoyed it a few years ago but they were younger and not a teenager. DH is saying they’re struggling and is considering bringing them back early. Personally I feel they should see the camp through to build resilience and see their commitments through. This talk of bowing out seems to be ringing more and more as now eldest DD is talking about not doing her expedition for duke of Edinburgh.
my eldest is however trying to cope with Crohn’s so I understand that might be part of it. Any thoughts? They’re not teenagers that disrespect us or anything like that. But they will need to see their neurodivergence issues as they go throughout life. Anyone had similar?
