Books on parenting teenagers

Can anyone recommend a book on parenting teenagers please?

DS is 12 and getting increasingly moody and argumentative. DH and I are definitely going to need some advice to weather the next 6 years.

Have you seen this book? I used the one aimed at younger children. Really practical and full of examples.

My teen is also pretty moody…I don’t have a book recommendation but my main advice is pick your battles. I always say to him you can be in a bad mood but you can’t be rude. What was your DS like when he was younger? Mine was a well-behaved boy for the most part so that’s kinda carried on, we had good boundaries so he knows where the line is. I actually prefer parenting a teen to a toddler…but it can be very draining with all the conversations about every single thing 😩

@dandelionandbirdcockDS is generally well behaved, but he's stubborn. He often wants a reason why he should do something, which is fair, but now he's doing that with basic things such as tidying up after himself.

I feel your pain @MinnieMountain! Teens will want to argue about anything, except when they don’t want to talk to you 😂
My DS is 16 now so we’re through the worst of it, but we just had to be really firm sometimes and say ‘because I said so’ and he knows that tone means he has to do it!
