Is regular ovulation pain in a teenager normal or worth checking?

My DD is regularly complaining about what she says is ovulation pain. It happens regularly with her menstrual cycle (also regular) and says that it lasts about a day and ranges from mild discomfort to more prominent pain either on the lower left or right side of her stomach (more or less concentrated depending on how painful it is) . Is this normal? Or an issue that needs to be looked into?

I would look into it.

I had ovulation pain since my teens. Eventually went on the pill, pain stopped and after 15 years when I came off it, discovered I have really bad endometriosis that’s too severe to operate without leaving life changing consequences. Painful ovulation was one of the earlier signs before being on the pill stopped it.
