What shoes do your sons wear for 6th form?

DS is moving to a 6th form that requires smart dress and does not allow trainers. He used to wear Kickers for school but has only worn trainers for a few years as their rules changed.

Im considering buying him shoes soon-ish so he can wear them to his prom and then when he starts his new school. Otherwise he’ll wear trainers for prom which is fine, but options could be good.
So is there a particular type / style / brand of shoe that works for 16-18yo’s who’d much rather be wearing trainers? DS is quite fussy about his clothes!

My year 12s all wear tan brown derby lace ups. My sons now at uni both wore black derby lace ups but their mates all seemed to wear the brown and they all loved a blue suit (all had to wear full suit and tie)

Thanks! Thankfully he doesn’t have to wear a full suit and tie.
Anyone else got any interesting suggestions?

DS had to wear a suit for sixth form so slightly different. He doesn’t have enormous feet so he had black brogues from Clark’s. Now, doing a levels, he lives in trainers 😊
