Appropriate small gift ideas for neighbour finishing GCSEs in difficult circumstances

Hello

I’d like your advice please.

I have a teenage neighbour, who I don’t know well, who is doing her GCSEs under very difficult circumstances.

I was thinking of getting her a “well done” card after the exams. Also I wonder if I could give a small gift too, but I don’t have kids or have any idea what might be appropriate or appreciated.

Would any of you lovely people please be able to advise me?

Many thanks!

That's so sweet of you. A little silver bracelet? A couple of cinema tickets for her and a friend?

Such a lovely idea! How about a voucher for a local restaurant, or a general voucher with a card saying to treat herself? Word of warning - avoid ‘Love 2 Shop’ vouchers as they are a nightmare to use!

Very thoughtful. I would do a £10-20 gift voucher. Probably boots or asos if she’s girly.

A local coffee shop voucher would be a lovely gesture.

Lovely idea. I would say something like a costa voucher or another local coffee shop in your area.

How lovely! A voucher would be appreciated I’m sure - maybe Amazon voucher ? That way she can spend it on almost anything x

I wouldn't get a voucher, I'd give cash and tell her to treat herself. If she had plenty of money I'd get a gift - maybe earrings or a bracelet - but if money is a problem for her, then cash is by far the best gift.

If you get her an Amazon voucher and she doesn't have Prime, she'll have to pay for delivery.

A local coffee shop voucher would be a lovely gesture.

Definitely this. Unless you know her really well a gift might not be something she likes, but most kids this age love a coffee shop treat.
