Teenage boys and masturbation

So, the time has come to the point where I need to talk to my boys about masturbation 😬. I’m hoping that someone might be able to guide me with what I can tell them with regards to into what they’re choosing to ejaculate. I need some ideas before I tackle the subject of it not being fair on their mum if she is having to load the washing machine with socks, pants, snoods etc when they are covered in semen. Plus we’re running out of toilet roll on a daily basis (we have 3 teenage boys).

Any sensible suggestions would be gratefully received as this is not something I explored in my childhood so lack the life experience.

If they’re old enough to wank, they’re old enough to do their own washing.

No advice on how to approach the conversation as I haven't been in that position but what I would say is that it sounds like it's time they start doing their own laundry.

Solost92 · 27/02/2026 17:37

What do you want them to use if you're also complaining about toilet paper usage?

"Right boys, you're all in charge of your own laundry now as I'm sick of getting sticky hands. Here's instructions how to use the washer."

But you just need to accept the toilet roll usage imo.

Ugh what a conversation! You can’t ask them to use less toilet tissue paper but agreed you can ask and teach them how to use the washing machine.

FordExplorer · 27/02/2026 17:42

OMG please don’t embarrass them like this, OP. Just start putting cheap tissues in their room.

Buy a bulk lot of tissues to go in their rooms, explain that used tissues go in the bin (no need to be explicit I’m sure they will get what you mean).

This could also be a good time to teach them to use the washing machine so they can start doing their own laundry and tell them they are
now responsible for changing their own bedding too - they may be more comfortable with this anyway

Also I think with 3 teen boys and running out of toilet paper regularly you just need to increase how much you’re buying

Placestogo · 28/02/2026 11:12

I have 3 teenage boys and lots of tissue boxes and toilet paper. Leave them alone!!

topcat2014 · 28/02/2026 11:14

This is not a conversation you ever need to have. Just buy enough supplies. Jeez

Thank you to everyone who have given helpful comments and advice :)

You'll need to tell them they have to get a hammer each to smash their own pyjamas, sheets, and socks.
