Teenager that could sleep through the apocalypse!

Hi All

I have a 15 (nearly) 16 year old teen boy. To say he is a heavy sleeper is an understatement. He really struggles to drop off but once he’s gone, he’s gone! He sleeps through multiple alarms and very often it takes me physically shaking him for him to wake up.

I keep seeing wristbands that vibrate being advertised as a more reliable way of waking deep sleepers and several seem aimed specifically at teens. Has anyone tried one of these? Are they any good? Or is it another gimmick that im going to waste money onHmm

If anyone has found them helpful, can the advise which brand they used – Ta very much Smile

My friend had this with her son having really deep sleeps, and it turned out he had an iron deficiency and just got beyond tired - he’s now on some iron tablets and although still likes his sleep it’s more regulated and he responds to alarms etc…

The wrist alarms sound good tho and my cousin for her son put an old fashioned ringing alarm clock on his chest of drawers across the room so he physically has to get out the bed to turn it off!! Anything reachable was “snoozed”

Sunrise clock was helpful for my dd.

it slowly lights up the whole room in the half hour before the alarm so mimics the sunrise.

DD uses a combination of wrist band and under pillow alarm. The sensor under the pillow sometimes slips and can't be felt properly.

In the one I linked to there is a plastic disc that goes under or near the pillow that vibrates and it vibrates a lot and loudly. Can’t be missed.
