I have 2 children 1 is 15. 1 is 19.
quick update today was a teacher training day for my 15 year old. I was at work. She had her friend round this afternoon. Got up at 12. Still in PJs st 5.00 my 19 goes to university still home bro by getting up after lunch but staying up till about12-1 on a night really annoying me not only because of the electricity being used but the laziness of staying I. Bed . I came hone from work they had not walked the dog but they had gone for a macdonalds about 4.30 so I did even mention about tea. They have both laid on their beds all night. It is annoying me do much. Is this really normal should I not be bothered

It wouldn't bother me, other than not walking the dog.

Sounds like a fairly typical teenager day? Apart from the lack of dog walk they sound like chilled and calm kids.

It’s me then. I am finding it frustrating that they go by help at all

it sounds like typical teen behaviour and i know that it's annoying having them lie about all day etc but that's just part of the teen process. maybe its the holidays that has out things further out of normality, i know when my teens are off school etc that all time goes out the window, they eat and sleep at completely different times than a normal week.

I understand op and I think modern culture just allows for total slop from teens.

I hate seeing my teen lie in bed all day - and it's really irritating they didn't care for the dog.

but yes it is unfortunately normal

Mine will do exactly the same.
It annoys me too.

I give them all jobs to do whilst i'm out.

Aside from the dog, which I would go ballistic over, the rest seems normal to me.
