Where?! Everything online is sold out for this year group. Menswear? Needs to be charcoal grey.

At 16 would he not be in mens sizes? Try next or marks and spencer

TimetoGetUpNow · 25/08/2025 22:12

We ended up with men’s from M&S. £££

We have a decent pair of Next age 17 but they’ve sold out every time i look (and I think he’s too tall for them now).

or these?

Or are charcoal grey darker?

If your DS is tall, he will most likely need mens. M&S used to do an extra long length in the boys range but they have stopped selling them. They still have boys long length but they are too short for my 6ft1 15 year old so we have had to buy mens trousers this year. My DS has 30 L. They are three times the price of the boys! £17 for a two pack in the boys, £54 for a two pack in the men’s.

These are what my DS has: www.marksandspencer.com/2pk-slim-fit-flat-front-crease-resist-trousers/p/clp60716794

I ended up letting the hems down on the trousers that DS1 (15, 6ft 2) wore last year - the extra long M&S ones. I am gutted that they have stopped selling them. They still fit OK on the waist and are just about long enough now I have dropped the hem. When he grows again I'll need to buy mens - although they'll be massive on his waist (when I last measured it was 22 inches - he's grown upwards but not filled out yet!)

Yes same here, men’s ok on length but waist falls off so lots of excess fabric scrunched up

Next do a 26inch waist in mens, if that would work in longer length. You'll need to order online as the don't tend to stock the more unusual sizes in store.

guiltridden25 · 27/08/2025 08:55

Local uniform shop was the only place we could find anything suitable for tall teenage boys. Much more expensive though.

Tiredofwhataboutery · 27/08/2025 09:00

Adult trousers for DS too. I do think it’s a unfair having yo pay VAT for tall children clothes. Don’t get me started on the shoe prices.

teksquad · 27/08/2025 09:04

Same.issue here! The larger sizes in M and S and Next have been sold out all summer.

I got some from Sainsburys/TUbinnthr emd which are charcola grey an dseem quite good. Ordered online and picked up.

teksquad · 27/08/2025 09:06

Oh and I had to cut them and tgen roll up 3 times for hemming for my average height sone so they may be long enough!
