Teen Uber accounts

I wondered if people have any experiences with Teen Uber accounts - positive or negative. We’ve got a problem where neither me nor my partner can pick up my DS13 from an event he’d love to go to. We’ve been debating if an Uber is an option, but not quite sure if they’re trustworthy/he’s too young etc.

My 16 year old is on my uber account and that works well and I can see all details of the journey. He can book etc through the app on his phone - it’s linked to my account.

I once witnessed the uber office calling the passenger once as their system had flagged that the car hadn’t moved for a few minutes )stuck in traffic) and I remember feeling very impressed with that level of security. I’d let my 13 year old get an uber if there was no alternative.

I have had my 15 yr old daughter use Uber in the past. Sometimes it happens and I can't pick her up from school. There are times when her dad can't pick her up. I feel guilty at times because I don't like the idea of her being in the car with a stranger, especially a man. But I do get to see all the details of her ride and follow her in real-time. Overall though, it is convenient and I have had a good experience.
