Hard wearing boys school shoes?

Hi, can anyone recommend some hard wearing black school shoes for DS15? They must be shoes and not trainer looking at all. He plays football every break & lunch and his current shoes (bought in an emergency from Asda!)are falling apart. We used to get Treads which really were indestructible but they went bust during Covid I think. TIA

After treads we haven't found any specific shoe that lasts as long- so we get cheapish shoes (his last pair was from sainsburys) and put Bencailor Boot Toe Protectors 4 Pcs Boot Guards Work Protector Work Toe Cover for Boots Camping Climbing Guards(Black): Amazon.co.uk: Fashion these on the front. You cant see them when they're on but they protect the front of the shoe so when he is playing football the toe doesn't get a hole. Make sure you wash them off when they arrive, and I'd recommend using superglue rather than the provided glue x

I hadn’t even thought of that - great idea, thanks!

Dr Martens do school shoes and they are fab.

I made my Ds take in some trainers because he was trashing his shoes playing basketball.

We used to LOVE Treads for our son!
He is DS14 is in Kickers now, they are costly especially as he is a size 11 but do him for the majority of the year. They tend to start to become unwearable in the last half term so he just goes in trainers. He has had these the last 2 years running - https://amzn.eu/d/2SlSWzO
