‘Sulking’ teen

Dd 17 is generally a joy to be around but is struggling with one of her a level choices. I think it’s the first time she’s struggled with something academically and it’s almost come as a shock. We have talked about it and her options (restarting a levels in September or trying harder and getting a tutor) and she definitely wants to try and improve in the area. Her college tutor is convinced she can achieve well given a little more work and determination. College are going to provide more support as well. After the conversation last week she seemed really on board and appeared to be putting in extra hours and determined to overcome this blip.
tutor starts today and she’s in bed refusing to get up or speak to me. The ‘sulking’ started yesterday when I asked her if she’d come up with a list of areas for the tutor to help her with. She isn’t depressed as she was perfectly fine until I mentioned the tutoring. She has had a tutor before so she knows how sessions go.
Any advice?
