Coolest trainers for 15yr old boys?

I'd love to surprise my teen with some really nice trainers for Christmas. He never asks for branded gear even though his friends all wear high end brands. At 15 his feet seem to have stopped growing at size 10.5 so I feel the time is right to spend a bit more on some really nice ones. What is the current cool brand for trainers? Is it still Nike Air? Please help!

It depends on his style tbh.
If he's sporty - Nike TNs are back in, or 270s or 720s.
If he's not sporty or you want to get him something smarter, Nike Jordans or Air Force are always a winner with my 14 year old son.

Nike have huge discounts on the outlet website this time of year. I got my son's Jordans last year for £65 (he's a size 11.5) and I got mine for £33 (I'm a 4.5/5). They can be returned into January if they don't fit.

Three teenagers and the newest trend for runners where we live are asiscs. We live in Dublin.

I narrowly avoided a trainer disaster - nearly got the wrong air force 1s ! Recommend asking which ones he likes - strangely my DS wanted black ones . Also might be worth adding half a size - Nike I think run small and my just sixteen despite having had his growth spurt at 12/13 and me thinking the growing was done has just added another half size
