My DD is going to this concert next year and got tickets without specifically asking us first. He looks like some sort of US rapper. She is 14 and gojng with her BFF who will be 15, and friends parent taking them and will hang around but won't be going into concert venue. Do I have reason to be worried or am I overthinking? Thanks

My 15 year old daughter is going (she'll be 16 by then) and I'm fine with it tbh, she went to Travis Scott too and loved it. My other one has been to way more but her music taste is more pop (Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams obsessed) so I do end up feeling more comfortable with her going but at the end of the day they're both concerts and they'll have a fab time. She's got another parent with her so I wouldn't worry.

I'd never heard of him but 16DD really wanted to go but didn't do anything about it as she couldn't afford tickets. I'm really glad she didn't now. I don't mind swearing but that language is hideous.

My DS was a big fan a couple of years ago. DS is kind, gentle, gay, a feminist. Liking someone's music doesn't mean you share their values. I absolutely loved Girls Aloud but was not a fan of Cheryl! I would imagine most of the people going to the concert will be alternative-type teenagers tbh.

Wow I’ve never heard of him either. From the posts I’d assumed he’d also be young - teen, early 20s. But he was posting THOSE in 2010…….. he’s my age and markets himself to teens. First impression - bit gross!

Before someone says it, Taylor Swift is also 30s and has masses of child fans,
but Taytay’s lyrics and message aren’t really comparable to Tyler by the looks of it!

Those tweets are 15 years old when he was the same age as Selena (18/19) and finding his way in a rapper crowd. Which doesn’t make them okay at all but Tyler has grown up and evolved since then and has apologised to her.

His music is now very much his own with less ‘want to fit jn’ vibe.
