My 13 year old is desperate for a dupe of a Moncler, Ralph Lauren, Canada Goose or Moose Knuckles. I have a few reservations and really don't want to buy one. Here they are, sort of in order of importance:
- its just not us... we are comfortable but not into branded stuff even when we can afford it. (eg we don't drive a BMW or an Audi)
- more likely to be mugged as the mugger may not know if its fake or not (we live in London and the boys have a reasonable amount of freedom)
- it could be poor quality, or the wrong size as we have to buy online, and we have absolutely no recourse for a refund.
I am happy to buy him something normal from Uniqlo, North Face etc Its not H&M prices and we can go to a shop and try it on properly and check the fit and quality.
Am I being unreasonable? It is just normal that teenagers wear dupes now and I need to chill out. Or am I right to stick to my principles - the offer of going to a shopping centre is a good compromise.
