DS voice broken and SO low with exaggerated accent

DS is 13. His voice has become progressively lower over the last 9 months or so. Now it seems incredibly low - lower than usual for a man and many people are commenting on it.

He also seems to have developed an over the top posh accent with it - perhaps a coping mechanism for the new voice? But it's quite strange. People find it hard to understand what he's saying.

He says he's finding speaking tiring and it's hard to get enough volume to speak up in class, plus other kids are laughing at him at school which obviously doesn't help.

Anyone experienced anything like this? Is this his voice now or do broken voices change further?

DS has an unusually deep voice, people used to comment on it. He's sort of matured into it as he's got a bit older. Never had a change in accent though.
