Nc for this. I recently read this problem page in the guardian and wondered what other mumsnetters thought -

I usually really rate the columnist here but I was quite shocked she didn't seem to take this more seriously. Shouldn't the mum be checking the sons internet usage for a start?

Has anyone been in this situation for real, and what helped resolve it?

My 15-year-old son keeps appearing naked in front of me ‘accidentally’ | Ask Annalisa Barbieri

This provocative behaviour sounds like a cry for help. You need to talk about boundaries – and keep asking if anything is bothering him

That is seriously disturbed behaviour and rather than porn, I would be worried about the whole Andrew Tate crap out there - seems like a deliberate boundary testing which needs to be stamped out. To be fair, I think this writers advice is often poor - I dont know what her qualifications or experience are, but I regularly think her take is pretty crap.

You want posters to recount stories of their teenage children being naked in their own homes? Righto....

I was also very concerned that she's not checking his internet use and whether she ever has. He could be watching any kind of porn , violence or speaking to anyone online. He could also be being radicalised, whether that's in the manosphere or far right politics.

I also wondered why she had no voice, she seems very unassertive. What's so difficult about telling him to use a towel or use the laundry basket? I wonder if she's ever had a proper conversation with him.
