Smart Schoolboy 9...wtf?

BeBopaLula75 · 13/09/2024 08:05

My DS14 is refusing to go to school today because it's Friday 13th and then told me about Smart Schoolboy 9...and that there are rumours he's going to be at my son's school (I know that there are probably kids at EVERY school thinking the same).
I've just googled it, as I hadn't heard about it, and bloody hell, he's weird. 😳
Can anyone shed any light on this or give me anything to calm my boy down...please??

Facts, and she seems slightly wired up might be getting her uniform outside

It is a real person, go look it up on youtube, theres loads of videos about it. I think the youtuber nick crowley was one of the first to talk about it but there have been many others since then.

This smartschoolboy guy has apparently been around since the 90s and he likes to dress up as schoolkids and pretend to be one. He's known to wander about on the streets dressed in white facepaint and wearing a school uniform and hes been doing this for years, lots of people have stories about him. I think the last few years though he has got into the whole online thing and has been making all these different accounts and posting disturbing content and possibly trying to lure kids.

I won't go into too much detail but the guy is reportedly in his 50s and his name has been posted online but I won't share it here. I don't know if thats his actual name but I heard that he is being investigated by police. Honestly the guy is disturbed and theres something seriously wrong with him, he has this creepy fasination with kids and school uniforms and high heeled shoes which he mentions in probably most if not all of his videos /posts.

This is quite serious and i've seen grown men on youtube quite disturbed by this so I can understand a 14 year old being scared. It is really creepy.

He's one very strange individual that's for sure.

On one hand this sounds like usual secondary school conspiracy rubbish (I seem to remember when I was at school there was a big thing about the Earth being destroyed by some asteroid). On the other I'm surprised a 14-year-old actually believes it!

I'm also interested in how a 14 year old thinks one person would be present at every school simultaneously. Seeing how freaked out and panicked some parents get on here not really surprised some children and teens stress and get anxious about ridiculous things.

He is just a kid, I mean if you saw the videos on youtube about this guy, it's terrifying. I mean i've seen grown men on youtube visibly disturbed by this guy. The guy is a creep and if you see the content he posts and what he looks like, it will make your skin crawl... it's very disturbing.

It might seem ridiculous but it depends where this kid goes to school, if it's in the area where this creep roams around then I can completely understand the kid being scared. I can't say I blame the kid at all.

I mean it's a bit pathetic, most parents are ignorant as well to what's online and either allow unfettered access or some off the shelf parental controls which are easy for disgusting people online to circumvent. All a bit depressing really.

I don't really see how it's pathetic, they are just kids and to hear that theres this creep going around following and chasing kids and posting incredibly disturbing content online... for a kid that is terrifying and they are not going to immediately think and behave rationally about it like a grown person would.. thats kids for you. I feel like people on here are way too harsh on the kid, I heard he was autistic too so these things are obviously going to have more of an affect on him.

Even if the parents tightly control what there kids do on the internet, they are still going to find out about these sort of things through other kids on the playground.. I even heard teachers were warning kids about it in school so the kid maybe found out about it that way. I do agree though that it's depressing.

My ds is 12 and we seemed to have constant conversations over the summer about the need to fact check things you see on YouTube and about not believing everything that appears online.

The best we can do as parents is to keep a close eye on what they access online and keep lines on communication open so we can always have those conversations that keep them safe and stop them worrying.

girlonfiree · 29/09/2024 09:38

I don't blame him for being freaked, what the actual hell!!!
Secondary age kids aren't babies but they're not mentally mature enough to be rational and feel safe when they see things like this.
All I can say is reassure him that he will never encounter this strange individual

Exactly, I think some people on here have forgotten what it's like to be a 14 year old. When I was at school at that age we were always believing in dumb rumours and being hysterical and over the top about stuff. It just baffles me how some people on here think a 14 year old should be thinking and making the same rational decisons as a fully grown adult. Like you said they aren't babies but they aren't mature enough either.

The rude comments bashing this womans parenting aswell are pretty disgusting, thought this place was about helping people out not bringing people down. Theres an awful lot of people who just seem to lack empathy and understanding. As for the people who say this is fantasy and made up, clearly they haven't looked into this properly because theres loads of information about this online especially on youtube that says this is very real... This is a very real person unfortunately.

Emmanuelll · 29/09/2024 13:02

At least he is very visible, unlike the majority of child predators.

Oh do get a grip Hmm

There is no chance at all of this happening. Don't be so gullible. Just because some fruit loop made a tiktok about it doesn't mean it's actually real life.

@BeBopaLula75 I'm sorry you thought I was being harsh. I do stand by it though. Does your son seriously believe this rubbish? Perhaps it's time to limit his access to tiktok/YouTube if so.

He is a real person and he has been known to wait outside schools. He is a disturbed individual that likes to pretend to be a child. But unless you live in Streatham or Doncaster he'll probably be fine. Although he is also on the internet pretending to be a child.

It depends where they live. I don't think the guy makes a habit of hanging around outside schools though. And yes, he is real.

I'm sorry for the harsh comments by these people who seem to think smart schoolboy isn't real. He is a real person who has lots of alts where he pretends to be a kid. I think he's been busted for being outside of a school once in about twenty years though so it's very unlikely. The real man actually gets a lot of abuse as a result of his weirdness and apparently his windows are now boarded up now because people found out where he lived and started smashing all the windows. If you don't live in Streatham or Doncaster he should be fine. But maybe he could walk with a friend and he could have a phone with a tracker on to help him feel safe.

Say he is real but il come to school with you

QuickQuoter · 29/04/2025 14:56

Hate to break it to a lot of the mums on this thread but i feel an obligation to do so. This is not false, this is not ‘just AI’. This is a real, documented sexual predator and an awfully scary thing to hear about at such a young age. This isn’t some false case and I’d recommend going and looking into it, there are a few documentaries on it. That said, being scared at 14 does seem a tad unreasonable but my god please do your research guys!! This is not some internet hoax as some things have been in the past! It’s a genuine criminal!

It isn’t false. The younger generation is pretty good at distinguishing from true and false. Often a lot better than people of middle age. Please do recognise that while this poses no physical threat to the majority of kids this is a real individual and they have every right to be scared
