Any other parents with teens at Boardmasters worried about safety following last night’s problems with overcrowding?

DC is back, said too many people, poorly
organised (the surge was prior to a DJ set of someone very popular put on at a smaller stage- DC thinks should have been at a biggger stage). Poor security. Says there were a lot of people injured, some very badly injured and that the first aiders by the stage were not doing a good job and seemed ill prepared. Says there were people with knives, which is a big concern. We live in a big city so are not naive but she hasn’t seen knives visible before.
For all its surf culture credentials thought it was less eco friendly than Reading. DJ sets etc that had been understood to run til 3 ended at 2 so there was more time for mayhem
on the camp site. Things like poor signposting also make it sound like the organisation was poor. Back safe and sound but someone threw a rubbish bag at the tent that split so will be cleaning the tent today.
