Making friends as a teenager

Hello all 😊
I have a 15 year old girl, quite shy and not made too many friends outside of school. She has gotten to an age where she would like to branch out from the school only friends and make some new pals. I have searched for clubs and activities in Leicester but am struggling to find anything 😢
Does anyone have any advice please 💜

No but will watch with interest! My dd is so reluctant to do things that mean she will meet new people. One thing she would have done is police cadets-they go from 13 in Leicester but not in Worcestershire where we are. 🙄

Have you looked at Explorer Scouts? Always a mix of girls and boys.

I don't live in Leicester but assume as it's a city most things will be available. To some extent it depends what your daughter's interests are and what she is willing to try, but some ideas: (maybe a good idea to do taster sessions at a few to find a group she is comfortable with)
Sports:
Tennis, martial arts, trampolining, fencing, etc
Horse riding - you sometimes get a discount if you help muck out the stables, some teenagers spend all their spare time there - the danger with this idea is they might then want to buy a horse

Cadets (army, RAF, St John's Ambulance etc)
Duke of Edinburgh's award
Drama group
Does she play an instrument or would like to learn? If so, she could join the local music centre on a Saturday morning - they are usually friendly
