Has anyone any experience of modi bodi or other brands of period swimwear for teens?
I'm thinking of getting some for DD for her summer holiday just in case. Do they work effectively?

They have been brilliant for my 13DD during swimming lessons. She wears under her normal swimsuit.

That's good to hear. I've never actually seen any, do they just look like normal swimsuits? What sort of fabric are they?
She's obviously worried about leaking and being embarrassed.

Yes they look just like normal bikini bottoms. V reassuring as my daughter always gets her period when we are away😟

Ah great. I'll get her some. She's still very young and not very regular so sod's law it would come on holiday.

DD has the bikini bottoms. She used it with tampons on heavy days and on their own when the flow was lighter. But a friend used them on their own when she did club swimming.

Rinsed and washed and dried overnight.

My squad swimmer dd used them for about 2 years. Never had any issues except that she found the cut a bit 'booby' for training. Fine for the beach. I know of other swimming friends who wear them under other togs, as pp said.

They’re fine for being in the water and catching it when coming out, but possibly not for lazing around for a few hours and then into the pool, on repeat. On heavier days my dd put hers on specifically to go into the pool. If we travelled to a beach for the day she’d take them with her and change into them into a cafe before swimming and then before we left for the day etc. We tended to set aside non water related activities for the first couple of days, with a quick splash in the pool on our return.
