Help needed to find a cheap black suit for Prom

He's still growing and won't be going to sixth form but needs a suit for his prom. So I don't want to spend too much money on it. Slim fit single breast. Help me, I come from a family of women and have no idea about suits!

I just got my husband a brand new suit still with tags on Vinted for £9! Might manage that or one that’s nearly new and attach tags with brown string 🙊

Really dumb question but if a suit is say 36 inches how is that measured, from arm pit to arm put or all around the body with a tape measure?

It’s the chest measurement e.g. 36”, then the length of the jacket and the sleeves e.g. Long, Regular or short.
