Prom dress - petite

Need to get a prom dress for my daughter who is fairly short so any standard dresses are going to be too long. Any recommendations where I can get a dress for a more petite height? She is around 4ft 11.

We are London based.

Dorothy Perkins gave some nice petite dresses, I was looking for myself. There are some that are called bridesmaids dresses, they are satin and look like prom dresses to me.

For both my DDs (5ft2 and 4ft11.5) we bought pre-owned from ebay and then paid for alterations, though you may not have time for that.

Thanks for your suggestions. Trying to avoid needing alterations as I don't know anyone and last time my husband got some trousers altered at the dry cleaners they came back too short!
