Has anyone had experience of childline?

My kids secondary school gave them info about childline in assembly saying they can call about anything, if they are anxious or want to talk about their day. I’ve had a look online and it looks like a good resource for when teens want to talk but not always to a parent.
But their have been news reports of childline letting down teenage girls and giving some rather suspect advice.
I was wondering of anyone on here has first hand experience of childline, either as a volunteer - (what qualifications/ experience do they need to have?) Or if their loved ones have called?

First time posting- predictive text meant I've posted with grammar/ spelling mistakes (their!!!) and I can't work out how to edit. Apologies to those who find this really irritating! (Like the inappropriate apostrophe catastrophe!🤣)

Three dots in the top right of post > edit is at the bottom of the menu.

Thanks but that doesn't come up on my original post. (The one with the errors). So I can't amend it. It comes up on this comment but not the orginial post. I was just apologising to those who hate those types of errors. It's the info on childline that I'm hoping for some feedback on.
