Skipping school to study at home (year 13)

DS doesn't do this but says it's very common at his school for people to not go in and just revise at home and do past papers.

Anyone else had similar experiences?

It’s not common at most schools.

They shouldn't, but I know mine would dearly like to do this and several classmates (Y13) don't go in if they have no lessons that day (e.g. they only had one scheduled and have been told in advance that the teacher's not in). There's no official study leave till May half term at this school.

Some kids try and do this and they underachieve.
