teens with strange fashion choices!

My DS (17) has recently started donning a ridiculous set of outfits - think of a little prince boy with poofy pink shorts with straps or skirts with big petticoats, frilly white shirts, pink waistcoats, covered in bows and such.

I think its a bit ridiculous, but it isnt harmful and im sure he'll have a good laugh about it later. My sister thinks he looks absolutely darling. The best thing about it is that all of his friends are the goth/punk/rocker type, so he stands out like a sore thumb whenever they hang out!

What weird or strange fashion phases have your teens went through/going through? Do you ever tell them what you think about it? Looking for a laugh 😂

Oh I wore mad clothes and I’m quite disappointment that my children are two Uber tanned big eyelashes girls and a Nike branded boy.
your sounds fabulous!

wow he sounds very daring and experimental- good for him!
I love wearing slightly off-beat clothing myself but like the PP I have a girl who enjoys false nails, eyelashes etc
my son is into skating so he's all colourful hip-hop or cartoon t-shirts, baggy jeans and beanie- I think he looks great though I suppose it's standard skater gear

We bought our dd a world war outfit for school, she wears the awful brown shirt all the damn time, mind you I quite fancy stealing the flat cap, I LOVE a hat.

We were going out for dinner recently, last minute she comes down with this brown shirt and a lacy corset over the top. No time to change.

I would be chuffed to bits that he has the strength to stand out! It's so much better than the internet influenced 'monkey see, monkey do' carbon copy kids.

Apologies for the uncomfortable amount of alliteration there. Wasn't intentional.
