Helping DS, 15, stay healthy for sports

My DS has had a hard time past few weeks, with infections, injuries etc and he's very anxious/ stressing about upcoming football season and wanting to stay healthy and strong so doesn't get subbed off - he often twists ankles or has unidentified pains or cramps in legs...

How can I help him get stronger and more physically stable for the season? He absolutely loves his sport and I really want to help him

Couple of things you could but would talk to the team coach as well.

  • strength and conditioning outside of training. Getting membership to a good gym with knowledgable staff will help strengthen any weaknesses and improve. Possibly worth getting some personal training sessions written or asking his coaches for advice
  • seeing a physio if he is regularly suffering from the same injuries they can help identify weaknesses and give some support and guidance on how to improve.
