How much money?

I’d be interested to know how much would be a reasonable monthly allowance for a 16 year old to cover the following -

All non essential clothing
Going out with friends
Friends’ birthday presents
Make up

We pay for school uniform, bigger items like coats and shoes, essential toiletries and hair products, underwear and her phone.

What would be reasonable?

A young person of that age in local authority care would be expected to be given weekly pocket money of around £8-10 per week plus have their mobile phone paid for. The amount is set (varies slightly by local authority) to keep children in care in line with their peers in terms of pocket money.

Id say 20/25 a week which is either 80 or 100 a month. Id personally do the £100 but make it clear I’m not giving any extra x
