Family Counselling

Has anyone used a councillor or therapist to help them work out differences with their teenagers?
I think DD18 and I have reached a point where we might need some help.
I'd love to hear people's experiences and if you found it beneficial.
TIA

Hello OP,
Assuming your DD is agreeable, I would say go for it.
Something I have been wanting to do for me, DH and DD.
DD is having her own counselling but we I think we would benefit from family counselling too (before we completely lose it as a family).
DH and I had one session with a parent support worker.
Sadly work commitments have meant we couldn't continue.
I am really keen to try it again.
Good luck and I hope it works for u and DD

Many thanks @DarkChocHolic , I really appreciate your response. I think I will definitely look into this and see if I can sort something out. Good luck, I hope things work out well for you too.
